DESCRIPTION
This handcrafted piece tells a story about one of the dying crafts of India known as Rabari embroidery, a handicraft and textile signature art tradition of the tribal community of Kutch district in Gujarat, India. The Rabari embroidery variety is mainly defined by use of mirrors, and designs that are inspired by mythology and dessert habitation. The bead embroidery attached to the center of the bag is a craft of Afghanistan and is handmade by Afghan refugee women residing in New Delhi. The leather belt of bag is hand-braided and then hand stitched on the bag. The antique metal beads and original coins were taken from vintage junk tribal jewelries to give this bag an authentic vintage look. The star shells are the finishing detail on this bag as it gives a bohemian touch. Each bag is uniquely different with variations in hand embroidery and bead embroidery due to the vintage nature of bag which makes it "One Of A Kind" piece of art. KYLO has named this style as "AJA". __________________________________________
